Dual-Division Website for the Industrial Sector
Battery Watering Technologies needed a digital partner who could untangle their catalog and build a streamlined, user-friendly platform. They turned to Sector4.
PROJECT NOTES
Battery Watering Technologies had built a robust catalog of over 1,000 individual products.
However, their digital presence was struggling to keep up with the scale and complexity of their offerings. They faced two primary hurdles:
Divergent Audiences: Their product line served two entirely distinct industries. Housing both under a single storefront created a cluttered user experience, forcing buyers to sift through hundreds of irrelevant products to find what they needed.
Navigation and Visuals: Their existing filtering was insufficient for the volume of SKUs, and their product drawings were outdated, making it difficult for technical buyers to verify they were purchasing the exact part required.

Our Strategic Approach
Dual-Division Website Structure: To solve the issue of a mixed audience, we completely restructured the site's architecture to feature a two-division portal system. Right from the start, users are prompted to self-select their specific industry. This essentially splits the website into two distinct, highly targeted e-commerce experiences. By siloing the products based on industry application, we instantly removed user friction and eliminated irrelevant search results.
Advanced Filtering: A standard e-commerce filter wasn't going to cut it for technical battery components. Sector4 developed a custom filtering system designed specifically for their product data. We mapped out the specifications their buyers search for and built a multi-layered filtering system. This allowed users to instantly filter through the 1,000+ listings to find the exact component they needed in just a few clicks.
Technical Drawings: To give buyers absolute confidence in their purchases, we updated the technical drawings across the product lines. By modernizing these drawings, we ensured that the visual representations matched the quality of the physical products.
Integration of 1,000+ Listings: We managed the bulk migration and optimization of their massive product catalog. Every item was correctly tagged, categorized into its industry division, and tied into the new custom filtering logic to ensure zero dead ends for the user.

How Sector4 started
Why We Started Sector4

There are a lot of great businesses in America that don't look like great businesses online.
That's not because they aren't great businesses.
It's because many of them were built in a world where doing good work, earning a reputation, and knowing your customers mattered more than having the perfect website or marketing strategy.
We believe those businesses deserve better representation.
The manufacturer that's been around for 40 years.
The family business being passed to the next generation.
The contractor who built his company one customer at a time.
The entrepreneur who turned an idea into something real.
These are the businesses that built communities, industries, and—quite frankly—much of the country we know today.
We think their stories are worth telling.
That's why we started Sector4.
